Bali – 10 amazing places you will never want to leave

Destinations/Island life
Bali – 10 amazing places you will never want to leave
In one sentence Bali is everything what you ever wish for and a little bit more. A dreamy vacation that’s not that hard to afford starting from apartment rentals and food prices. Little paradise that will make you come back for more and more… I’m writing this little guide for all of you who may wonder is it all just publicity or it is really worth it. So I’m here for you, to move all your doubts and prepare you for a nice and interesting adventure across this jungle island.
There is one more thing that I’ve realized while was leaving Bali behind: “Australians are so lucky nation ” not because of their high standard or the way of living yet these lucky bastards live only 3 hours plane ride from the point of my topic. Weekend getaway on Bali instead of spending one more Saturday in front of the TV putting weights on, who’s up?

1. Find your perfect villa around Ubud

You don’t need to go to Scandinavia to practice “hygge” and find your inner peace, Bali have few things to offer. Fresh basket of fruit, morning coffee, sound of wilderness and the stunning view on a rice fields through the tropical forest can bring you to another dimension. Villas in Ubud are something different, infinity pool overlooking stunning landscape is all you ever gonna need from your vacation.

2. Trekking through the rice fields

Waking through rice fields never been so easy and accessible. Miles of trails passing trough the most amazing scenic views will drive you to explore as much as you can even mosquitoes will try to ruin that fun. Prepare yourself. Everything what you need to know to be “safe and sound” is written in my previous post.

3. Gili islands for a few days

All the hype around Gili islands started in the 1980s and 1990s when backpackers started to visit these islands. But times are changing, and there is now an array of glamour options on the island, especially on Gili Trawangan. Best of all, there are no cars or motorcycles to disturb the peace. Now you may wonder how you will get around? Only by horses. Lovely isn’t it. I visited Gili Trawangan and absolutely loved every single minute of it. Give it a try and you won’t regret.

4. Cocktails accompanied with sunset from the Rock bar

The Rock Bar is located along the 1,3 kilometer coastline of AYANA Resort and Spa. I visited it in February of 2016. for the first time and I was pleasantly surprised. I had great time so I wanted to come back on my second visit. In the meantime marketing and Instagram did a job. Rock bar became regular itinerary of every singe tourist who visit Bali; so popular that we couldn’t get in as the time around the sunset become so busy and there is often a big waiting list. This year they put extra chairs on the top of the bar where all the people “wait” to get in. While the guests of the resort enjoy priority access many don’t get a chance to get inside of this famous bar. If you decide to go there and you are not a guest of this resorts try to make it there early or later at night. But however it’s really one of a kind bar that everyone should go and check at least once.
OPEN HOURS : 04pm-02am
ADDRESS : Jl. Karang Mas Sejahtera, Jimbaran

5. Learn how to surf on the Dreamland Beach

Bali is a surfing paradise, everyone knows that and everyone goes there because of it. There are many options for you to start a week or two curse and become a pro. And if you are already a pro then you have heard for this beach. Surfers love it because is not shallow reef like many of the other surf spots in southern Bali. In other words, you don’t have to be as careful of hitting the reef. If you make it to the Bali one day, this place is definitely worth a stop.

6. Uluwatu Temple and monkey play

Uluwatu Temple is located on the top of the steep cliff approximately 70 meters above sea level. This is as well one of the top places on island to go to for sunset delights. There are two entrance to the temple, from south and the north. The Balinese Hindus believe that three divine powers of Brahma, Vishnu, and Siva become one here so this is very important place for Balinese people. Under the Temple is one of the Bali’s best internationally known surfing spots – Uluwatu beach. there is as well ritual Kecak dance performance everyday at the cliff top stage at 18:00-19:00. The entrance price is around 10€.

7. Dinner in “la Favela”

La favela is designed to a single detail one of the coolest place you will find anywhere in the world. Green entrance with a hip circus-letters gives you no clue of the size and awesomeness of this place. You will be pleasantly surprised. When you get in you will find nothing but tropical garden you never seen before. It has hidden corners, waters, ponds, levels, bridges, statues and seats everywhere. It’s a great place for architects lovers, design freaks and interior designers. There are graffiti and murals everywhere. And when the food comes to table La Favela becomes paradise for all senses.  The MUST place either for drinks or food. As well there are private dining rooms and Frida Kahlo’s images all around.
Bon appetite !
OPEN HOURS: 9pm- 3am
ADDRESS: Jl. Laksamana Oboroi No. 177X, Seminyak

8.Tegenungan waterfalls

Tegenungan waterfall lies at Tegenungan Village, approx. 5 kilometers, south east Ubud. Bali has a selection of waterfalls that are fun to visit. For many people the idea of hiking through the jungle to a hidden waterfall and taking a swim is the image of paradise. These places definitely exist, the rich green surroundings and perfectly flowing fresh water will make a pretty sight for all.
Ticket price is 10 000 IRD less then 1€ .

9. A Secret Canyon of Sukawati

Near Pura Beji Guwang in Sukawati, there’s a secret canyon that’s so incredible it will inspire you. It’s unique shape will drive you to climb all obstacles and even get wet as you trying to experience as much as beauty as you can. When you get there, be careful as you will have to pass several rivers with a sticky muddy soil and you might also climb some big slippery rocks. Entrance fee is 15 000 IRD, around 1€ and you can choose rather you want to go alone or with a guide. I did it all by myself as I’m very flexible with this kind of climbing and if you are not sure about it better take the guide to help you. Price is around 150 000 IRD or 10€ depends on your negotiating.

10. Or just go to Potato Head and don’t leave for all days of vacation

For me one of the best bars/beach clubs in the world. Everything what modern architecture should be – beautiful, unique and open for big crowds. Food and beverages are maybe a bit more pricey then in other places but definitely affordable. What you get in Potato Head is incomparable to other beach bars in Seminyak. Your MUST place during your stay in Bali. And I’m sure you will return for more. Beautiful sunset view, amazing architecture, delicious food and good music all in one, hidden under shutters.
OPEN HOURS : 10am – 2am
ADDRESS : Jl. Petitenget 51B Seminyak
