New Zealand is a traveller’s dream. Packed with spectacular landscapes and virtually untouched national parks -the scenery alone is enough to inspire most visitors. This is a home of bungy and where you can find every other type of adrenaline rush you can think of – and some you’ve probably never even dreamt of. As I’m facing my first summer in Dubai (read “hell” ) somehow my mind flew back to a New Zealand adventures I’ve experienced this year. And one of the best was air safari around the tallest mountain, Mount Cook (3724 m). I know I’ve promised to write a lots of posts about my trip to this magical country but it will come, step by step when inspiration kicks me, like today when I’m trying to cool down by watching this beautiful snowy landscapes of New Zealand’s tallest mountain when the heat takes over the Dubai slowly. This was one of the highest ranked attractions I wanted to visit during my stay and I almost miss it. Well, everyone who ever visited New Zealand or lived know that weather there can be tricky, and sometimes been described as “four seasons in one day “. During my visit, even tho […]

The first association black has is a with mystery, the unknown and the hidden. Black is color of magic – the color that hides. It can be used to hide feelings, to separate oneself from the world. Black doesn’t usually express many emotions but when you get up on the hills that overlook black sand beach in Vík you will feel nothing but tsunami of emotions. I still remember the first time I saw this beauty, I just stood there for hours watched the white sea foam coming and going and leaving those beautiful traced patterns on the coal black sand. This is one of my favorite spots in Iceland. Why is like that I really don’t know. Guess black magic got control over me. Just kidding, but when you see the pictures you will know why. HOW WAS IT FORMED? Black beaches are common thing on the coast of volcanic islands and it’s usually created in either two ways. One way is when lava from the eruption hits the cold ocean and causes the lave to explode, forming small glass – like shards which become rounded as the ocean waves erode them. Another way is similar to how white sand beaches […]
Well, Iceland was and still is one of my favorite places in the world. Ever since I was a little instead of chasing ball I dreamt about foreign and distant places and somehow Iceland was always on the top of my list. Some people claim that in the silence of Iceland’s wilderness, you come closer to hearing God. And now I believe in that. There is something magical in this remote island, something that will change your mind and heart forever and make you come for more. Every minute here brings you another astonishing sight that seems more like another planet than the native Earth. While there are so many places in the world I still haven’t explored I would still go for Iceland over any other. A year and half since I’ve been there and so far I didn’t write a single word about it. I think I was too afraid to ruin beauty of the Iceland with my amateur writing skills. Maybe my recent trip to New Zealand has something with it, but somehow all the memories and pictures from Iceland recently started run through my mind. So finally I pulled my thoughts together and decided to create […]
When you work full time job and have family it’s so hard to organize a long vacation. In my case I’m still free with lot of time so short or long trips works for me. If you live in Central Europe there are bunch of places for prefect weekend getaway. Sometimes is just important that you leave your apartment and go to nature; fill your batteries for future work excitements. I live in Zagreb, Croatia at the moment so last week I drove all the way to Slovenia and visited Bled and Bohinj. This was great way to leave the city and enjoy the nature for a few days . It’s only 2 hour ride from the city center of Zagreb. So close that you don’t even notice that you had a trip. Between the borders of Italy and Austria in northwestern Slovenia lies Triglav National Park. Triglav encompasses the eastern end of the Julian Apls and is the only national par in Slovenia. Near the town of Bojinska Bistrica lies Lake Bohinj. The hiking trail runs the entire perimeter of the lake and is an easy walk. All around the lake are the mountain peaks of the Julian Alps. The water […]

There is something magical in those short moments when sky plays colorful game witch changes every minute. Sunrises are even better but I’m lazy ass and like to sleep late (fact). So I have many more sunsets in my pocket then sunrises but hopefully soon will change that. In the morning everything is so peaceful, it’s easier to connect with nature and just enjoy it . So here is my top 5. list of sunsets I’ve collected on the road : 5. Let’s start with my country Croatia where I was born and grew up. We have beautiful cost line and sunsets during the summertime can be magnificent. One of that moments I captured last summer while my stay in island of Hvar. Reddish sunset amazed me so I have to put in on the list. 4. On my second place from the bottom is sunset I experienced few months ago during my trip to Thailand. We took a hike into the hill upon the beach in the place called Krabi and waited for the […]
