Finally, or better to say : ” F I N A L L YYYY !!“ Last few months were super strange and bizarre. Covid 19 , earth quake in Zagreb and “civil war” in USA and Serbia really put all our lives in different perspective. I really hope for the best as we are all left only with that. I finally found some time to write few blog posts with New York City as main star! Since last summer I got so many messages on my Instagram page referring to this subject so I decided to put some things on “paper” for all of you who are dreaming to visit this magical city one day. I’m so happy that I had chance to spent 3 months in Nyc and again, after 2013. live my dreams. At first I was really afraid to come back as I wasn’t sure how I’m going to “feel” this time and didn’t want to break my bubble of love that I was secretly keeping for myself during last 6 years . However nothing has changed! I was still madly in love with the city ! And hopefully it will stay like that for many more years. But let’s go back to subject; in this blog post I wanted to share few of my favorite views around Nyc. Some of them are not typical tourist places so I really hope you will put them in your itinerary. So let’s start with countdown: Tudor city is an apartment complex located on the East Side of Manhattan, between […]
Thanks to Tournant and their amazing open fire workshop this September in Istria I experienced my first ever truffle hunting. We stayed for 4 days in beautiful villa in Livade overlooking hills of Motovu. Such a magical scenery to wake up to, covered with morning mist. Beside amazing food, great company and beautiful nature we did excursions every day. One of my favorite was truffle hunting operated by Karlić family. First they showed us their property and made for us some delicious food; scrambled eggs with truffles and some sweets combined with chocolate spread mixed with truffles. Most of the families who run this kind of business have their own forests where they search for truffles. We went in the forest with our guide and two beautiful dogs trained for truffle hunt. Their names are Leila and Candy. Candy that day wasn’t really into work so Leila saved the day. 🙂 Because they grow underground they’re very difficult to find. But fortunately, truffles have a particularly pungent perfume that mimics certain hormones given off by pigs so other pigs can be trained to hunt them. Dogs are also used to go truffle hunting in Croatia since pigs tend to eat the flavorsome […]
Lately I’ve been trying to write down few blog post that I was really looking forward but work and blogging became my full time occupation in last few months and I didn’t have time to do so. However, I want to make clear once again that I’m really enjoying writing blog posts and always putting so much ideas on paper that hopefully one day will end up on my site. Busy schedule got me thinking that everything what I can write down should be with a short text and a lot of photos – perfect combination for my first editorial. My recent trip with camper around the Portugal got me to the most beautiful beaches and in one of them I was lucky enough to spent a night. Next morning I did shooting and made some really great photos that I want to share with all of you. Let’s enjoy now …. This beach is located in Aveiro, the city on the west coast of Portugal, on Instagram mostly known for the colorful houses with white stripes. I’m sure you already seen it somewhere on the internet. Beside the cute houses Aveiro has dreamy sandy beach. […]
Espresso nastaje kada pritisak tople vode […]
If you are big fan of a spooky stories stay with me as you will hear one right now. I don’t know if you believe in ghosts or not but we all must agree on one thing; there is something powerful almost magical around this places. Abandoned a few decades back, the village now lies half buried in sand, and nobody precisely knows why. The locals say that village was last inhabited by the people of Al Kutbi tribe. The houses that you see here, date back to the 80’s. Legends have it that there could be a nasty “djinn” ( a supernatural creature that Muslim community believes in) responsible for driving the residents away. It is also, more likely that the unwelcoming desert was the main reason for driving people away. Google Map locates the ‘Buried Village’ quite accurately, but you will need a 4WD to cover the final stretch of the route that leads to the village. Our adventure almost finished terrible as we got stuck in the sand but the local guy who was with us help us to get back on track and we managed to get on a solid ground. Once […]
