New York is a great place to view the sunset all year around, but there are days when it’s especially breathtaking. Manhattanhenge is one of the summer’s most exciting moments. Tudor city is an apartment complex located on the East Side of Manhattan, between 40th and 43rd streets and First and Second avenues. Overpass built after the construction the new headquarter of the United Nations is now one of the best spots to observe Manhattanhenge. Hundreds of people gather on the streets to observe this incredibly beautiful phenomenon. Only photo I’m still missing from this place is the one with a snow so I definitely need to come back to enjoy this breathtaking view in winter edition. Twice a year the sun aligns with the earth exactly between Manhattan’s buildings. Since our planet is spinning, the sun sets at a different angle every day. The rectangular grid of Manhattan allows this phenomenon to happen in late May and mid-July.
